The mobile phone, or smartphone, is the ideal tool for studying life and earth sciences. Transportable, with great autonomy, equipped with numerous scientific instruments such as the compass, the colorimeter or the GPS (Global Positioning System), the smartphone makes it possible to study the phenomena in the world around us. We have collected here science activities and experiments that can be done in the field such as studying the colors of fall, analyzing the heart rhythm by using the accelerometer or studying the physiology of the system vascular by photoplethysmography.
