Creating an experiment is not the same as building an instrument

Some scientific apps allow advanced users to configure sensor inputs, mathematical processing chains and custom displays. This is useful for building a specialized measurement instrument.

FizziQ takes a different approach: more than 50 measurement instruments are already available — sound level meter, accelerometer, lux meter, frequency meter, video motion analysis... Question

How does the length of a pendulum affect its period?

Instrument

FizziQ's accelerometer or stopwatch, pre-selected when the experiment opens.

Protocol

  1. Measure the pendulum length.
  2. Record ten oscillations.
  3. Calculate the period.
  4. Repeat for different lengths.
